Mobile sandwich business ceases to trade

South Yorkshire catering and mobile food delivery business, Acorn Fine Foods Ltd t/a Peckish Vans has ceased to trade. Peckish, who ran routes around the Doncaster area, took its vans off the road last week alongside ceasing food production at its catering facility in Carcroft.

The proposed Liquidator, Jeremy Bleazard of XL Business Solutions, commented “It is clear the Directors had invested and worked hard to keep the business running however it became unviable to continue. My focus is on applying an orderly and transparent process for the creditors; to this end I have instructed agents to arrange the sale of assets as soon as practicable.”

Howard Eastwood, Director of Walker Singleton, who are acting as agents commented “The business ran a fleet of liveried sandwich vans all serviced from a central food production site. The closure of any business is never good news however the imminent sale of all the assets provides synergy businesses, whether start-up’s or established mobile sandwich retailers, current bricks and mortar retailers looking to mobilise their offering or traditional bakers, café’s and other food producers/retailers the opportunity to acquire new or additional assets to help scale their own businesses.”
