Sale Completes over former TecnAir Headquarters

Walker Singleton have concluded the sale of TecnAir Groups former headquarters and manufacturing plant in Bradford to Shorts Industries Ltd, a leading supplier of lifts, components and spares.

Dominic Pix, Managing Director of Univer Manufacturing, which is part of the TecnAir Group, said: “This exciting deal signifies our optimism for trading within the UK market and shows we are investing in the future. The existing site was purpose built for Univer Manufacturing over 25 years ago, however, the demand for our products and the limited ability to expand the site created an obstacle for future growth. Our new headquarters are much larger and can operate as an effective hub to co-ordinate our growing worldwide offices in China, Australia and Italy.”

Jonathan O’Connor, Director within the Commercial Property Department at Walker Singleton acted on the sale and commented “The TecnAir property, at the intersection of Canal Road and Queens Road, has been a prominent and well located landmark since its construction. It was always likely to appeal to a developing, locally based business, who sought a larger consolidation to a single site to advance their business. This has proven true with Shorts Industries who were established in 1945 and whose current headquarters are in close proximity to this site.” O’Connor added “The site drew competing interest underpinning the unwavering demand, despite wider economic uncertainties, for quality freehold properties in the City.”
