Posted: 19/03/2021

Rosemount Estates, a property company who specialise in the refurbishment and letting of commercial properties in Elland and Greetland, have secured planning consent for the refurbishment of Victoria Mills in Greetland, near Halifax, to provide a mixed range of business, office, retail and leisure units.

The current tenant, Andy Thornton Ltd, are relocating their showroom to Elland and a comprehensive refurbishment of the upper floors will commence shortly with the new units being available from Autumn 2021 onwards.

The scheme will offer a wide range of commercial units from 800 to 22,000 sq ft. It also includes additional car parking and a sympathetic refurbishment combining original features with innovative heating, lighting and connectivity to provide practical, contemporary and environmentally friendly space.

Ryan Barker of Walker Singleton, the letting agents for the scheme, commented “The refurbishment will provide stunning space in the heart of Greetland and we expect significant demand from a variety of different businesses. It has been very successfully used for retail and showroom space for many years’ and we also expect interest from office users and leisure operators.”

Andy Thornton, of Rosemount Estates, said “This is the second phase of the redevelopment of the Mill, the first being the successful conversion of the ground floor into retail and leisure units five years ago. That proved to be the catalyst for rejuvenation of this thriving Village and we hope for similar success with this refurbishment.”
