Brian Walker (1931 – 2019)

Brian Walker our former Senior Partner and friend sadly passed away on Wednesday 9th January after a period of illness.

Brian was the touchstone of the modern day Walker Singleton, which proudly bears his name.  He went into partnership with Howard Singleton in 1962, having left after serving his articles with him from 1947, and quickly turned a small, long established, single office surveying practice in Sowerby Bridge into a regionally recognised and respected firm. By the time he moved on from Walker Singleton in 1977 to develop and run his own successful property investment and house building business the firm had diversified its property surveying and auctioneering specialisms across multiple regional offices.

Brian will be fondly remembered as a mentor to many within the business and the wider profession and was always a loyal friend and proud supporter of Walker Singleton. He will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with his family.
